Angeliki Toumpanaki presents a personal musical narrative—a new cycle of concert encounters featuring beloved songs drawn from her twenty-year musical journey. She invites the audience to enter the rhythm of “Cycles” that recur: returns, transformations, and moments where we find breath, safety, and renewal.
“Twenty years filled with music, people, journeys, collaborations, and upheavals—twenty years built upon voice, body, research, collective ensembles, and an unrelenting need to transform sound into shared experience.
In this new encounter, I open a fresh cycle that connects all those that came before—a cycle linking my roots with what I seek today; weaving together all I’ve lived through, all I continue to learn, and all I aspire to create.
A musical journey not confined to any genre, but rooted in an inward drive to explore, to deconstruct my own motifs. I remain faithful to what brings me joy: collective creation, spontaneous connection with the audience, and free expression through music—transcending tribes and genders, borders and social norms.
And each of our cycles remains open—holding space for voices, stories, memories, cherished moments, and beloved people.”
— Angeliki Toumpanaki
The performance moves fluidly between intimacy and participation, connection and shared pulse. On stage, Angeliki—ever true to what makes her happy—sings, improvises, and deploys her voice as a multidimensional instrument. Alongside her, her long-standing, exceptional collaborators shape a distinctive sonic world where acoustic and electronic sounds coexist, and familiar melodies are reimagined through contemporary harmonies and structures. Motifs evoke communal gatherings and guide us across traditions, atmospheric moments where sound becomes breath and movement, and explosive passages that summon us into circular dances, merging our voices as one.
The Cycles are a concert series dedicated to returning—to memory, tenderness, and light—to humanity’s need to rediscover its center and open its circle anew.
