International Labor – Revolutionary Song Saturday, May 9 | 8:00 PM Kaisariani Shooting Range
A large-scale musical-theatrical performance dedicated to the global history of workers’ struggles and resistance. At the historic site of the Kaisariani Shooting Range—a place of memory and sacrifice. Commemorating the 140th anniversary of the Chicago events (1886), the performance “Chicago – Kaisariani” connects two emblematic moments in history: the uprising for the eight-hour workday and the execution of 200 communists in 1944.
A unified artistic experience of memory, honor, and awakening.
The historic site becomes an open meeting ground for artistic communities. Through music, poetry, storytelling, and visual material—with polyphonic ensembles and songs from around the world—the working class is highlighted as a timeless, global movement.
From the Chicago of 1886 and the Second International, to today’s world of labor, the performance illuminates the enduring struggle for dignity, freedom, and justice.
