ANGELIKI TOUMPANAKI as a guest at STAR FORUM 2026
Angeliki Toumpanaki participated as a guest speaker at STAR FORUM 2026, in a particularly meaningful panel titled “Song as a Social Foundation and Personal Expression” organized by STAR Central Greece.
At the heart of the discussion was the power of song as a means of connection, expression, and shared experience. The panel highlighted how music functions simultaneously as a source of creation and as a refuge for individuals—both on a personal and societal level. Through thoughtful discourse and the exchange of perspectives, the conversation illuminated the role of song in shaping cultural identity, as well as its significance as a tool for empowerment, solidarity, and resistance.
The panel featured prominent representatives from the fields of music and music theory, fostering a dynamic dialogue around music as an essential medium for expression and communication.
The discussion was moderated by Eleni Tsagianni, while the opening remarks were delivered by Odysseas Gotzamanis.
The panel participants included:
– Giorgos Myzalis
– Angeliki Toumpanaki
– Orestis Dantos
– Stathis Drogosis
– Magda Varoucha
A particularly moving moment followed later in the event, when students from the Music School of Lamia performed the song “Takounia gia Karfia” (“Heels for Nails”) by Orestis Dantos, adding a vibrant artistic dimension to the panel’s thematic focus.
