{"id":6914,"date":"2026-10-19T14:44:31","date_gmt":"2026-10-19T11:44:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aggelikitoubanaki.com\/?p=6914\/"},"modified":"2026-10-19T14:44:31","modified_gmt":"2026-10-19T11:44:31","slug":"angeliki-at-the-interdisciplinary-and-interartistic-dialogues-of-the-national-theatre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aggelikitoubanaki.com\/en\/angeliki-at-the-interdisciplinary-and-interartistic-dialogues-of-the-national-theatre\/","title":{"rendered":"Angeliki at the Interdisciplinary and Interartistic Dialogues of the NATIONAL THEATRE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"qwen-markdown-paragraph\"><strong class=\"qwen-markdown-strong\">Participation \u2013 Invitation to the Interdisciplinary &amp; Cross-Artistic Dialogues of the NATIONAL THEATRE<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Preliminary Space D\u2019 4 | Theme: RITUAL<\/em><br \/>\nSunday, January 4 | 14:00<br \/>\nEvents Hall | Tschiller Building<\/p>\n<p class=\"qwen-markdown-paragraph\">Ritual needs no naming.<br \/>\nIt is experienced.<br \/>\nIt is the passage from the individual to the collective\u2014<br \/>\nthe moment we become community.<\/p>\n<p class=\"qwen-markdown-paragraph\">My first engagement of 2026 is, for me, both a great honor and a creative challenge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"qwen-markdown-paragraph\">An honor, because I have been invited by the National Theatre to participate in its series of events:<br \/>\n<em>\u201cPreliminary Space D\u2019 | Interdisciplinary &amp; Cross-Artistic Dialogues.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"qwen-markdown-paragraph\" data-spm-anchor-id=\"a2ty_o01.29997173.0.i2.737b5171yyewcP\">A creative challenge, because I will be collaborating with two distinguished interlocutors:<br \/>\n<strong class=\"qwen-markdown-strong\">Gerasimos Makris<\/strong>, Professor of Social Anthropology,<br \/>\nand <strong class=\"qwen-markdown-strong\">Ioanna Toubakari<\/strong>, dancer and performer\u2014<br \/>\nunited by the powerful concept of <strong class=\"qwen-markdown-strong\">RITUAL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"qwen-markdown-paragraph\">In Foyer D\u20194, Professor Gerasimos Makris of Social Anthropology at Panteion University will introduce us to the concept and necessity of ritual, presenting examples from the Orokaiva society of Papua New Guinea (north of Australia).<\/p>\n<p class=\"qwen-markdown-paragraph\">Through movement and voice, we will collectively explore how ritual can bridge everyday life with the sacred.<br \/>\nWithin this context, I will contribute with vocal improvisations employing looping techniques, and will facilitate collective vocal improvisations in direct interaction with the audience.<br \/>\nParticipants include members of <em>Vocal Circles<\/em> as well as the polyphonic ensemble <em>Polyphony Melissa<\/em> of the Melissa Network for Migrant Women\u2014both of which I lead as conductor.<br \/>\nWhen voice, body, and intention align, art ceases to be mere spectacle and becomes an experiential act of connection<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Participation \u2013 Invitation to the Interdisciplinary &amp; Cross-Artistic Dialogues of the NATIONAL THEATRE Preliminary Space D\u2019 4 | Theme: RITUAL Sunday, January 4 | 14:00 Events Hall | Tschiller Building Ritual needs no naming.
