For the past 12 years, I have been guiding Vocal Circles in communities, universities, artistic groups, and cultural spaces.<\/span>
\n<\/span>For me, a Vocal Circle is an act of sharing, freedom, and collective expression.<\/span>
\n<\/span>It is about human connection through the power of polyphony, about developing musicality through spontaneous interaction, and about our love for music.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2728 With great joy and excitement, I invite you to join us on <\/span>Monday, September 29th (15:00 \u2013 18:00)<\/b> for our <\/span>first Vocal Circle<\/b> at <\/span>Roes Theatre<\/b>, with two very special guests:<\/span><\/p>\n

Zahara<\/b> \u2013 composer, orchestrator, pianist, educator & producer, Artistic Director of the Grammy-nominated Berklee Indian Ensemble.<\/span>
\n<\/span> Nana Simopoulos<\/b> \u2013 internationally acclaimed composer, multi-instrumentalist & facilitator of vocal ensembles.<\/span><\/p>\n

In our 1st Circle we will:<\/b><\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Play with sound & movement<\/b> \u2013 through improvisation, storytelling, rhythmic games, and body percussion, we will reconnect with our inner child.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Explore global rhythms<\/b> \u2013 a taste of <\/span>Konnakol<\/span><\/i> (the South Indian rhythmic language) and unique meters from around the world.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Circle Singing<\/b> \u2013 collective creation of spontaneous songs inspired by India, the Middle East, and the Balkans.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Free the voice<\/b> \u2013 experimenting with different vocal colors and textures in a safe and supportive space.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The Vocal Circle is <\/span>open to all<\/b>, regardless of race, gender, nationality, age, or musical experience.<\/span>
    \n<\/span>No auditions, no pressure \u2013 just three hours of vocal play, connection, and inspiration with three experienced artists and circle facilitators.<\/span><\/p>\n
